Rector Welcome

A Welcome from our Rector:  The Reverend Richard H. Norman, Jr., S.T.M.

We are delighted to have you visit the Grace Episcopal School website.

Grace Episcopal School is the principal outreach ministry of Grace Episcopal Church.

A milestone in our parish’s journey was the founding of St. Christopher’s Day School as a preschool in 1954— St. Christopher’s grew to become what we now know and love as Grace Episcopal School.

It is a delight and privilege to serve a congregation that has a school.  I am thoroughly committed to nurturing, maintaining and promoting the relationship between our church and Grace Episcopal School.   Most mornings you will find me helping with the carpool at the Lower School.   My wife, Adrienne, and I are proud that our two children attend Grace Episcopal School.

Grace Church has been engaging God’s mission in Monroe and Ouachita Parish since 1847.  We are a community of faith of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana, and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

If you have been doing some spiritual searching, Grace is a place where you can wonder with others.  We are a faith community where you can find ways to serve and celebrate what God is doing in your life.  We practice mutual ministry—the gifts of the laity being as important and valued as those of the clergy, working together serving God’s people and creation.

We would love to have you worship with us on Sundays or during the week.  Our Sunday Eucharists (Holy Communion) are at 8.00am and 10.15 am (with Choir).  On Wednesdays we have two services:  School Chapel Eucharist in the church at 8.00AM and a 12:10pm Holy Eucharist in St. Mary’s Chapel.

To find out more about Grace Episcopal Church, and the life and mission we share, please visit our website:  www.gracechurchmonroe.org.  If I can be of any assistance, I hope you will contact me.

Blessings,

Father Richard+
